LPTs are not a tag option for vehicles that do not have a metallic tint film on the windshield. Clean and dry the inside of your windshield. Place the E-ZPass tag horizontally on the inside of your windshield behind the rearview mirror approximately four inches from the top edge of windshield one inch below rearview mirror mount and away from any metallic window tinting film. NOTE: tag placement may vary by vehicle. The tag will not work if it is not horizontal, or if it is placed too close to window tinting containing metallic fibers.
Press firmly against the glass to get a tight seal. You can use a flat-blade or a Phillips screwdriver to attach the LPT. Remove the screws from the license plate area of your front bumper. If the existing license plate does not have mounting screws, you need two self-tapping threaded screws.
You may also contact E-ZPass Customer Service Center about purchasing an exterior tag accessory kit that contains tamper resistant mounting screws and a wrench. Place the tag in the correct position and press firmly against the glass for 15 seconds to achieve a good bond.
Your E-ZPass tag may be removed by gently lifting one corner of the tag to separate the adhesive strips. Please note: Do not try to remove the mounting strips from your windshield and reuse them.
An extra set of mounting strips was provided with your E-ZPass order. It will have the sticker with the Maine Turnpike Logo. This side should face inward to your vehicle.
Fasten your E-ZPass tag to the front license plate using the existing top mounting bolts and the knock-out holes at the bottom of the E-ZPass tag, so you do not cover the state name on your license plate. Tighten the bolts securely, but do not over tighten. Please note: Your E-ZPass license plate tag should be attached to the center of the front bumper, even if your license plate is in a different location.
I just got a black exterior e-zpass for my motorcycle. How do I fix it to the bike? Is it supposed to go on the front or the back of the bike? Hi rcrossle, Thank you for your question. Instead, EZ-Clip attaches with dual suction cups, so it's easy to install, easy to remove, and easy to switch between vehicles!
Avoid risking a violation! Toll authorities require that toll passes be firmly affixed to your windshield, not hand-held. Clip comes in black. Request for Answer Clarification by rcrossle-ga on 17 Apr PDT It says it's a license plate tag - these photos show it attaching to the top of the forks?
Let me see if I can find a solution for you. I'll research this further and be back soon with what I can find Best regards, tlspiegel.
